Letters to the Editor (via Gchat): "bro, your readership demands more blog updates"
Please excuse and I send my sincere apologies for the lack of posts lately. When there is a The Law's Law away trip Yours Truly needs to cram in a lot of Law that way he can enjoy the weekend without worrying about the impending Monday.
With a loud "YA BABY" The Law's Law would like to cordially welcome everyone to Rocktober, one of the best months of the year since its the time to party right after Summer and to pre-game for the Holiday season (arguably The Law's Law's very most favorite time of the year). Additionally, this year is quite special because within this year's Rocktober is the Weekender (legendary Weekender this year), The Law's Law's Bday, Notre Lame trip, another home game, a cap off USC game at Oregon, and Dodgers getting low throughout the month and blowing through the playoffs.
Weekender: Excellent excellent time (and definetly a top 3 Weekender). Not sure whether the absoute ownage of Cal or the City of San Francisco in general was more fun. There are three Blue Ribbon winners this year: Sir Darkness, Sir Zeth, and Sir The Large One. Now in case you have not heard (which if you're a reader I doubt you have not), these gents decided to take a dip into the Tonga Room pool / pond / moat (there was a legitimate debate as to what to call the body of water therefore it is the official poll of the week) in order to grab their Blue Ribbon awards. This means that the stakes have been driven up out of this atmosphere for the award. Thus far in Blue Ribbon lore we have an "detainee," a whole group bar kick out, and some serious butt kicking on the D floor to win the award. The award has become so prestigious that I almost refrain from awarding without an undeserving recipient.
A bone to pick: there has not been a female winner since last year's football season (when Sir Large One's sister took the award home for 2 weeks straight after some epic Newport weekends). Being that this is The Law's Law, a Legal Social Commentary, we try to be as politically correct as possible. Therefore, these is an epic chance for this to happen:
The Editor's B-Day Bash will take place at the House of Lords (1200 Manhattan) on October 9, 2009. The House of Lords has once again exceeded expectations and have been gracious enough to host this soiree.
Therefore, I look forward to seeing all followers and loyal readers there on Friday. It should be a time to remember and with no SC football and no Dodger playoff game on Friday, there will be nothing to distract everyone from making sure their cups are filled and their feet are moving to the sound of whatever ridiculous soundtrack the House of Lords has playing.
Over and Out,
The Law's Law
P.S. Fact Check / Errors: I forgot that the last actual female Blue Ribbon award winner took place on Blake's Birthday celebration in May.
