Tuesday Negotiation Midterm

Ye Old Faithful,

The Law's Law would first like to thank the House of Lords and everyone for the birthday wishes & birthday weekend celebr0-tions (please forward this Thank You to Sir Rico of the House of Patron and Madame Meliss at Shell because they are absolute Saints for putting up with me this weekend and especially two weekends ago). The Law's Law is truly humbled by the love and support that everyone has given him on the 25th anniversary of coming into this world.

Speaking of which, The Law's Law needs to sound off. Many many asked if I had a Quarter Life Crisis. I would like to say that I have never heard that phrase before. Why would one be depressed and have such thing? Let me count the ways that I have a reasons NOT to have a Quarter Life Crisis: Family, Friends, Babers, MB, Pasadena, Newps, Airplanes, and Life as a House (first Mobile Upload ever). Only people like Remy and Gary have Quarter Life Crisis-es

Now...

Between 1200, Fanta a la 1200 style Shots, Keg in Sir Creature's Room, Keg Stands in Sir Creatures room, Shell, Lendale White, Michael Bush, Marty Smarty, Sir Creature's New Blog, Sir Ph'd's Current Blog, The Doctor, Bankrupting Vons of their Andre, future Pool Party at Madame Birvs, Sir Darkness' photos, Madame Provident making fun of Sir Fratellis (there is your shoutout haha) and the Cleaning Party, A+ weekend once again.

From what I have heard I have inspired many to creates blogs. I love this. But some have decided to give a little bit more incite into their lives (i.e. Sir Phd aka www.dirtydigz.blogspot.com giving explanation into the chemistry he does and Sir Creature sounding off at www.domhatesanimals.blogspot.com and Sir Chairseo sounding off about North MB / El Porto at www.talesfromporto.blogspot.com all while Sir Hans continues his obsession with the mustache at celebritystache.blogspot.com). Therefore, everytime I blog I will give a Law Word of the Day and pick out my Favorite Sentence out of a Judicial Opinion of the Week.

Law's Word of the Day: Res Judicata

Sentence of the Day: ‘Upon the appeal of any cause in equity, or of admiralty and maritime jurisdiction, or of prize or no prize, a transcript of the record, as directed by law to be made, and copies of the proofs, and of such entries and papers on file as may be necessary on the hearing of the appeal, shall be transmitted to the Supreme Court: Provided, that either the court below or the Supreme Court may order any original document or other evidence to be sent up, in addition to the copy of the record, or in lieu of a copy of a part thereof. And on such appeals no new evidence shall be received in the Supreme Court, except in admiralty and prize causes.’ (Craig v. Smith, 100 U.S. 226, 229)

P.S. Sir NHL 2010, you would appreciate this blog: http://www.supremedicta.com/2008/04/funny-legal-words.html

Pretty jealous you are going to Chicago on Wednesday

P.P.S. Make it a great week. Cannot wait for Chicago. Not talking more about it because the Notre Lame blog will be intense (i.e. whole paragraph about turning our Sheraton hotel tub into a huge cooler, my favorite thing to do in life).

P.P.P.S. I would like to leave everyone with a review I got from my Negotiation course Professor (she read me like a book):

"Jesse:

Thank you. Your review of your performance was an ok first attempt.
For the midterm dig deeper on each question. You are still confusing
underlying interests a little bit. Although the competitive approach
may have put her off, it was necessary to get the best price. You are a
strong negotiator with a natural communication ability.

Prof. Bulmash"
