Post Thanksgiving Finals Quote

Howdy,

As many of you know, The Law's Law does happen to be in law school.

Law School has brutal finals. Not nearly as brutal as Sir Phd's Finals, but they are difficult.

A quote to live by came on tonight whilst I was watching 24/7. It is quite pithy to life in general:

"They measure a boxing match by how many rounds it goes, just as they measure a man's life by how many years he lives. But in both cases, of course, those measurements tell only part of the story. Far more interesting is a closer examination of the small handful of moments that really matter. Amid the infinite beats of time, there are instances that change everything for someone. Split seconds, that serve as lasting barriers between before, and after. In these flashes, years of mastery can be callously obliterated. The fates of millions can be at once senselessly devastated. […] They strive for lasting legacies, ultimately earned on impulse. They train for months on end, to prepare for battles that can be decided by a single blow. They enter the ring searching for victory, times’ secret collection of vicious beats." -24/7

Boomage,

The Law's Law

P.S. Sweet.

Bye Week

Readers,

The Law's Law would first like to give his most sincere apologies to his followers for not posting in a while. A weekend filled with Navy Grogs and a Final on Tuesday (today) kept this duder's hands full.

Keeping with the tradition of The Law's Law's brother blogs by adding an intellectual spirit to the blogs, today's Negotiation final encompassed re-negotiating a real estate deal that had an implied covenant for the lessee to continue operating as a business. Very interesting stuff and Your's Truly had way too much fun toying with his opponent.

Couple of points from the past weekend:

1) One should never drink 8 Navy Grogs in a 12 hour period. Those things may be small, but wow do they have a bite.

2) Bandwagon fans can exit to the stage right. I will be in rare form to Beat the Power Blue Lameage from Westweird.

3) My war with technology continues, somehow after this weekend I am now BBM friends with myself and cannot delete myself. Looks like a trip to my local cell store is inevitable (they already hate me for having to replace 3 trackballs this past month on my BB).

4) Unbeknowst to some, I paid $20 dollars and told a cab to "just drive." For any of you that saw the movie Michael Clayton, I was inspired by the very end of the movie (except he gave $100 and I only gave $20). However, all the cab did was pick The Law's Law up from Shellback, made a circle to Sepulveda and back, then dropped me back off at Shellback. The phrase "Full Circle" could have not been more poignant at that point.

5) Viva La Boom to Shellback.

Hope everyone has a great Bye Week, will definitely post by Thursday.

Sincerely,

The Law's Law

P.S. Welcome to Madame Doodler of the House of Bau Bau. You followage is greatly appreciated.

P.P.S. Congratulations to Sir Master and Snow-mander for creating a blog at http://thegospelaccordingtoko.blogspot.com/. One of these days we ALL are going to look back on our blogging years and say, what were we thinking by allowing this guy to go on the internet.

P.P.P.S. I could not agree more with domhateanimals.blogspot.com in saying that Iguana's really are too confident in themselves. I think Sir Creature would really hate Hummingbirds though. I look forward to a post.

Smooth Talking

Grogglers,

First, The Law's Law would like to congratualte Sir LastStand on the formation of yet another Blog entitled "Pay the Price" that can be found at: www.brentweird.blogspot.com. I already love the gambling content and the spread of the H1Nblog virus around LA.

As I sit her hashing out the details of a Broadway theatre financing deal (spelled theatre on purpose, Oxford style), The Law's Law decided he wanted to rant on those that go out, and those that do not. These things became readily apparent tonight in my Negotiations class on two separate situations.

Little background on this: The Law's Law has been known to enjoy Social Gatherings. Now, not only do these Social Gatherings give one the opportunity to meet new people and enjoy new experiences, but they are also primetime for getting wild, crazy, and just enjoy life in general. Bottom Line: those that like to stay in libraries and be lame, enjoy your life of solitude. C is for CEO and D's get Degrees (thank you Sir C-Money for that quote)

Now, back to the reasons this came up:

First, my first Negotiation was with a notable Law Babe that would actually fly at USC. However, according to various sources this Law Babe is an extremely aggressive negotiator. Last week for our midterm she apparently became "abusive" (quote from the professor) during her negotiation with Steve (actual name) and flipped. Now I have told many of my followers about how enjoyable my previous negotiation was with this exact Law Babe. It was pleasant, enjoyable, successful, and she even sent me an post email with many pleasantries and emoticons. Bottom Line: Smooth talking went a long way on this one. If The Law's Law had not been himself, I could have been abused like poor poor Steve.

Second, I found out today that my Professor works for two of my friends' mother's firm (they are twin sisters and the mother started it on her own to make it the largest ADR firm in CA). Apparently my Prof also found out and asked me if I knew the Twin Madames and I assured her I did. I have been to Madame Twins' house on multiple occasions because these twins always opened up their home to partying whilst The Law's Law was in training Sophomore and Junior years of High School. I frequented the homely home and had some of my most memorable times their. Now here is a funny story from my Professor's Bosses home in West-weird: I was doing big things in the kitchen (i.e. Shots, Shots, Shots...AWESOME SONG CLICK HERE), and all of a sudden, boom time. It all came up on The Law's Law all over the kitchen. Feeling bad I tried to clean up but The Law's Law was just spinning. The twins' Mom came in and was completely elated to meet The Law's Law and went on to say that I was a gent amongst men. True Story.

Anyways, point being is that The Law's Law loves meeting people and being in social situations. No matter how embarrassing something might seem at the moment, there is always a way to leverage it and make it a great story later.

Shots,

The Law's Law

P.S. I gotta get on these Navy Grogs, The Law's Law has cleared his Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for an adventure.

P.P.S. The Law's Law's technology problems continue. To this minute I am waiting for some to confirm that they can open a docx file. Honestly Microsoft (and Law Group), can you please make it easier for people without the latest version of Office to open docx files. Granted, I am having a good time and opened a nice bottle of French wine while watching Austin Powers, but come on. Let The Law's Law get some sleep once in a while.

Groggles

Letters to the Editor: Monday morning around 10am PST (1p EST): "i've already puked twice today, i wanna leave so bad." I think we all know what disaster of an associate of The Law's Law this came from on this Monday morning (the East Coast Standard time is a major hint).

I digress...

As The Law's Law digs his heels deeper into the month of November, he is still shocked that he has not had / first heard last week of the magical drink call the Navy Grog. Now unfortunately a little exam called the MPRE prevented this from occurring on Thursday or Friday and certain situations (i.e. being at the wrong bar) prevented this from happening on Saturday, but The Law's Law is thrilled to become one with this magical concoction come this weekend.

So far this drink has had some big talk. Friday morning the feedback came and it was as if every associate of The Law's Law got hit by a freight train. The reviews ran from "death" to "awesome" to "man I cannot wait to drink it again." It was almost like everyone got a case of the Stockholm Syndrome with this drink. Apparently one only needs two of these to have the time of their life which only make me think of Tonga Room Hurricanes.

The Law's Law was presented an opportunity to sample the Navy Grog on Sunday by Sir Creature, but that would have forced him to only have one. The Law's Law wants to go all in on his first experience with the Navy Grog. The Law's Law does not do things only 50%...go 100% all-in all of the time (which could be a major reason The Law's Law is so terrible at Poker). Therefore, this weekend will be the first tasting by Yours Truly. I will establish a minimum drink limit by the end of the week (will probably be around 4 - 5 from all accounts).

Homecoming week is on tap. Do not mention the inappropriate time the game was set for (12:30p) as this will only work up The Law's Law. Beat the Cardinal or as Sir Fratellis would say, "Arrrrggg give me my booty!!!"

Party in the USA,

The Law's Law
